Think of the earliest TV that you can remember using. How many channels did you have back then?

130 without paying extra. My first TV (my grandparents) had 2, 3 on really clear nights). My wife and I probably watch a maximum of 7 or 8. When she is out, I expand somewhat to watch documentaries, history, cops, car chases, standup comedy...my favorite ever show was a two hour documentary on the history of concrete. No one believes it. It just caught my attention.
ReplyDeleteSince I switched from cable to the Internet, it’s harder to say what a channel is. Still, it’s a lot more than the 70+ I had on cable.
ReplyDeleteI started out in a town with no TV station of its own. The antenna picked up about four channels clear enough to bother watching. Now I get maybe 400 channels -- it's hard to keep track -- but I actually watch only about four of them. There's plenty of great stuff on TV; I just don't have time to watch very much.
