D'oh!
What, in your opinion, is the single dumbest thing you've ever done? If you were watching someone else do it, how would you feel? Would it really seem that dumb if done by someone else, or are you just harder on yourself than necessary?

Can't just narrow down to ONE dumb thing; but the first one to pop into my mind is where I decided to stand on an antique pedestal table to adjust the chandelier. One of the legs on the pedestal broke off. The table had been in my house all of two hours. lol

Ow! Never mind the table; were you okay?! My moment of "d'oh" was a classic 'newbie' moment when I was on a mailing list about a billion years ago, in the dark ages of the internet. After an on-list argument with someone, I started a private conversation with another list member, which included some choice bits about what I thought of the other poster's state of mental health...and mistakenly posted it to the entire list. To this day, I still get a flush of shame to my cheeks when I think about how I must have hurt her.
