Stress (4)

Working with numbers and calculations is stressful for some people, while others can do it all day without breaking a sweat.  What is one thing that you often enjoy, even though some other people might find the same thing stressful?

Out of the comfort zone (1)

Piece of cake

Is your job too easy, too difficult, or just about right?  If an easier job and a harder job were offered to you (at the same salary), what would you choose?

What task is fun and easy for you, even though many other people would find it challenging or unpleasant?

This week's theme is hard at work.

Hard at work

Through your whole working life, what job or work assignment was the most physically challenging?

At your current or latest job, which physical traits (if any) are important: strong muscles, physical endurance, quick reaction, or careful balance?

Have any of your jobs involved extreme heat, power equipment, toxic substances or other physical dangers?

This week's theme is hard at work.

A better place

Some environments tend to support your strength of character, and other environments tend to undermine your best intentions and lead you astray. What is one place in your life where it seems to be easier for you to be a better person?

This week's theme is character strengths and virtues.

Character strengths and virtues

Think of character strengths, such as loyalty, integrity, perseverance, discipline, resilience, boldness, creativity, teamwork, courage, and responsibility.

If you had to pick one, which of these is your strongest trait? And which is your weakest area, the one you would most like to improve?

This week's theme is character strengths and virtues.

This week's theme is frustrations.

Making quick work of it

There are different ways of being fast. It takes different skills to read quickly, play guitar solos, run foot races, mow the lawn quickly, react quickly to an emergency, and organize a big pile of papers quickly. What kind of fast work is your specialty? What kinds of things can you do faster than most people?

This week's theme is fast and slow.

Born this way

What special advantages — ones that most other people can't claim — were already in place for you by the time you were born? Were you born with favorable genes that gave you an edge later in life? Were you born into a rich or well-connected family, or into a community with exceptional resources and opportunities?

This week's theme is built-in advantages.

Built-in advantages

Is your name early in the alphabet? Are you taller than average? Do you happen to live close to where important things happen? What are some of the competitive advantages that life handed you without any effort on your part?

This week's theme is built-in advantages.

Bright spot

Life is full of trade-offs. For example, you might accept a longer commute if it gives you a better-paying job. This means that most parts in your life, when looked at out of context, will seem less than ideal. But what is one piece of your life, however small it might be, that really does seem ideal — something that's working so well that you can hardly imagine any way to improve it?

This week's theme is ideal circumstances.

This week's theme is hidden strengths.

A shining example

Like everyone, you have many personal strengths and virtues; some are easy to see, others more hidden. Of all of these, which would you most like to see other people adopt and imitate? Which of your strong points would do the most good for the world at large?

This week's theme is values.

Pushing the limits

Great athletes have personal limits, just as everyone else does, but they don't accept their limits as stopping points. They push the edge of their capabilities and find every possible way to be faster, stronger, or more precise. In a similar way, engineers push the limits of materials and machinery to make devices smaller, cheaper, and more capable. Musicians challenge their physical limits in order to play ever more intricate and subtle pieces of music.

What are the limits and barriers that you've challenged and pushed against for years and years? What is one area where you've gone forward long after other people have given up?

This week's theme is barriers and limits.

For best results...

What are the things that no one can do better than you?
