Memories

How clear are your memories? Some people remember many instances from different periods in their life, while others only have a few stories from their past that they can remember in great detail. Are your memories vivid, or do you only still have the barest outlines of events that have occurred to you?

What is your earliest memory?

This week's theme is memories.

  1. Oh Goddess... actually I have some remarkably young memories... my youngest truly vivid memories are:

    1. Bouncing up and down in my crib when the first song I remember ("Downtown" by Petula Clark) was being played on the radio. I can date this, because the song was released in November 1964, and was an immediate hit with a lot of radio airplay, so I would have been around 1 year old then.

    2. Being circumcised... no NOT the actual operation(!), but I do remember being in hospital for it (it was done at... 18 months? 2 years?) - I vividly remember lying in my crib, a nurse brought me a type of candy called 'dolly mixtures' which I disliked, so I managed to 'lose' them by dropping them into a potty beneath my crib!
